WV Rural Health Education Partnership
The mission of the WV Rural Health Education Partnership (RHEP)/Gorge Connection Consortium is to achieve greater retention of West Virginia trained health graduates in West Virginia communities by creating partnerships of community, higher education, health care providers and government bodies.
The WV RHEP Gorge Connection Consortium schedules rotations for many disciplines, including medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, etc. The Consortium partners with more than 40 preceptors at 30 different clinical sites within a four- county region (Fayette, Webster, Nicholas and Raleigh) to offer students a range of educational experiences. During their
rotations, students are involved in interdisciplinary teams and participate in a variety of community service activities, including health education presentations, screennings, in-service trainings, etc.
For more information about clinical rotations, please contact Lora Adkins, Site Coordinator. For more information about community outreach, please contact Donna Bush, Community Outreach Coordinator.
