Diabetes Management Education

If you or someone you know is at risk for diabetes, newly diagnosed with diabetes, or struggling to manage diabetes we can help. Linda Stein MEd, MSW is available to help you learn ways to manage food, activity, stress, and medication to reduce risk and improve health. She will work with you and your medical provider to understand your needs and help you develop a plan. Bring your partner, a friend, or other family member so they can learn how to best support you as you move to better manage your health.

We also offer a free monthly Diabetes Support Group, which offers you an opportunity to learn about managing diabetes, try new food, get recipes and meal planning ideas, try Tai Chi, learn about exercise options in the community, meet new people, and have fun.  This support group meets at the New River Health Annex at 57 Sutphin Lane in Scarbro, WV the second Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
