For regular care, follow-up visits or urgent care (immediate medical care) please call and you will be given an appointment as soon as possible, many times the same day you call.

Fees and Payment

New River Health Association (NRHA) accepts private insurance, private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP and Tricare. If you are with a managed health plan please check with us to be sure we participate with your plan. If you are uninsured, underinsured or out of work we will work with you to arrange a method of payment for services on a sliding scale according to income.

Cost should not prevent you from receiving care. New River Health Association (NRHA) also provides free and reduced cost services through public health programs including family planning, children's health services, breast and cervical cancer screening and black lung clinic services.

When you come for your appointment bring your insurance card (private, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.) and be prepared to pay co-payments for services not covered by your insurance.

After Hours, Hospital and Nursing Home Care

If you have a medical problem after our business hours and need advice simply call 304-469-2905 and you will be connected with the medical provider on call.  Provider on-call 24/7.  

New River Health Association's (NRHA) medical staff provides adult care at Raleigh General Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Nursing Home Care at Hilltop Continuous Care, Hidden Valley Continuous Care, Fayette Continuous Care, McDowell Continuous Care, Wyoming Continuous Care and The Summit.
